I sincerely apologize for my comments. I am 67 years of age, I have visited Burger King for many years. I usually frequent Burger King in Indianapolis Boulevard in Whiting Indiana, I buy them for a personal friend in a nursing home near by. I usually purchase them for myself, and rarely use the coupon given to me for free sandwiches. Today, I had a very bad experience. Close to my residence, I went to a Burger King at 219 US Highway 30 in Schererville, 46375. It was 5:05pm, I had a taste for Burger King, I had filled out a survey from Whiting, Indiana, offering me a free Whopper. When I went to order, the proceedure had changed. After 2 minutes at the register, explaining to the employee what I wanted, she claimed I cannot get a small drink, the computer would not take it. I told her I wanted a Whopper,a medium order of fries, and a small coffee. She said I cannot have a small coffee. She started reading a couple pages of instructions as what the new proceedure said she had to do. So another black female came to me and said, ok, we will take care of it. So I waited in line, at the side. A few more minutes, until the original employee called me back up to the register, and took my order again. I got a Whopper, medium fries, and a medium coffee with 2 creams, no sugar. When I got my order, my sandwich was very cool, barely warm, the fries were cold, and the coffee looked like mud. I put the 2 creams in the coffee, but it was yet very dark, and muddy. I took one sip, I did not want to spit it out to make a scene surrounding other patrons, so I just put a lid on it and dumped it in the garbage. I was charged $3.83 for that. I don't want anything back, because I will not return. If all I lost was $3.83,I just figure I got off cheap, but you will not see me any more. I am very sorry. Just came back from a burger King on the Carlise pike in Mechanicsburg Pa. To say the least I was not at all pleased. There were only two or three customers ahead of me but it took ten minutes for me to even order. The cashier was obviously not ready to be on it. It was 12.15 in the afternoon and he was the only one running and one other person was at the drive through window and the manager was trying to fill orders. The cashier jammed up the register and the manager did not know how to get it up again. Finally got me order then they informed my they did no longer give a senior discount. Went to get my drink. Straws and lids were thrown everwhere there was soda and ice spilled all over everthing. Then I found a table but not a clean one they were all filthy none were cleaned off catchup cups,crumbs, napkins, and empty straw wrappers everywhere. That place needs a new manager. What a royal joke! My parents always enjoyed going to BK with their call-in coupons every week...usually a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. It was a very special treat for them...considering they are retired and on a very limited budget. NOW...you only allow computer survey and one a month per household. I use to sing your praises but at this time...I am trying very hard not to call all of my family and friends to boycott BK...and just go to Rally's or McDonald's (which we dislike). I would have to say that overall, my dining experiences at Burger King have always been positive. I love the double Whopper with cheese and extra onions. I'd eat it every day if I could. The rest of the food isn't bad, either. However, since the Whopper is my absolute favorite, I don't try mucy else that's on the menu. - posted 27 months ago by Margaret Clawson
